Opéra Garnier, the Louvre, the theatres…
Cultural escapades right by the hotel

Hotel Excelsior Opéra, in the centre of Paris, is perfectly located to discover the capital’s finest museums and to go out at night - to the opera, the cinema or the theatre in one of the many nearby venues. No need to take the metro! The Louvre, the Jeu de Paume, the Orangerie, the Petit Palais and Grand Palais, and the Musée d’Orsay, are less than half an hour’s walk from the hotel... So treat yourself to a stroll through Parisian streets steeped in history.

The Louvre, the closest to the hotel (only 20 minutes’ walk) is the world’s largest museum. Every year, it welcomes almost 10 million visitors through its doors. If you prefer more intimate museums, the Orangerie and the Jeu de Paume are in a delightful location at the heart of the Jardin des Tuileries. Why not combine a romantic walk and a cultural outing? A little further away, at the top of the Champs-Elysées, you can make out the magnificent silhouettes of the Petit Palais and the Grand Palais, built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition.

During your stay at the hotel, you won’t struggle to find a show within easy walking distance. Opéra Garnier and Olympia are just a stone’s throw away, as are many theatres. Indeed, the 9th arrondissement is one of the Parisian neighbourhoods with the most theatres: Edouard VII, Mogador, Saint-Georges, Fontaine, La Bruyère, Théâtre de Paris, Théâtre des Folies Bergère… not to mention the Comédie Française and the Théâtre du Palais Royal, which are in the 1st arrondissement, 15 minutes’ walk from the hotel.
